Hi.

Welcome! I document our adventures of raising five children.  This is our story.  I hope it inspires you to embrace your journey!

I’ve also recently started a photography business, so I can share the visual story of others.

Parker and Weston are 23 months apart and for some reason I never felt the need for a double stroller, we survived.  So when Corbin came along I really didn't feel like I needed one, being that the big boys were so much older.  When the twins were on their way I started researching and I found a gem, but I also made an error.

This is Corbin in our old and faithful single stroller.  We still use this often - yes we are the people pushing two strollers now, that's what happens when you have three kids age two and under!

As I started researching, I realized quickly that most double strollers are not meant for twins, well infant twins that is.  Very few double strollers accommodate two infant carriers, rather these strollers are built for an infant and a toddler.  This then is were I went wrong; I combed through the very slim list of double strollers that would work with two infant carriers, but then would be able to grow with them - makes sense right?  These slim frames kept popping up that would really only be for infant carriers and I kept thinking, how silly, why would I buy one stroller and then another in a mere 6-8 months?  I wish I would have gone this route!  Instead I purchased a heavy duty stroller, one of the maybe five that would work for our infant twins.  The reason why I regret it, is this stroller was so heavy, and long, not easy to maneuver and when you not only have the twins, but also a brother who is just 15 months older, plus two older guys, you need a stroller that is going to be blessing, not a hurdle.

This was the first double stroller I purchesed.  It was a boat and I regretted buying it quickly!

So needless to say, I was back researching only four months after the twins arrived, I was also trying to figure out how to tell my husband that I needed a new and different stroller when this one that I dropped over $300 for, would work, it would just be cumbersome when they were no longer in need of their infant carriers.  I decided not to even ask him and just buy a new one and ask for forgiveness later - I was the one who was lifting the stroller and using it 99% of time, I couldn't do it anymore.

Now that I wasn't looking for a double stroller that would work with infant carriers the options multiplied and I was overwhelmed! So I narrowed down my "must haves." I needed this stroller to be lightweight, fit in my trunk, have the children sit side by side, contain a quality shade/cover, fit through doors, and be easy to maneuver.  This stroller was going to be my lifeline to the outside world, without it I couldn't leave the house, it had to be efficient and quality (and yes it really is my lifeline - with two toddling twins and then not to mention the older ones, it's essential).

I found a gem! The Joovy ScooterX2 is perfect!  It will fit through all doorways, turn on a dime, provide ample side by side space for the growing twins, fold up easily, not super bulky and fits without a problem in my mini-van (yes I own a mini-van, not cool I know, but I am a mom of five). Bonuses are the sun shade is enormous, the storage underneath is huge, and even though it doesn't' have the mega wheels that a jogging stroller has, it easily navigates the sporting fields when we go to cheer on brothers.  Oh yes and it doesn't completely break the bank!  What more could you ask for?

What I regret is not going with the frame for when the twins where in their carriers.  I ended up buying a second stroller anyways and this would have been more cost effective and smart in the long run.  Joovy has an option that would have been perfect: The Twin Roo+ Again, I never used this, but it looks like a great option for families welcoming twins.  I didn't want to buy two strollers, but in the long run you will, so this would be a great route to take.

If you are going to be welcoming twins in the future, or are just in need of quality strollers, double or not, be sure to take a look at the Joovy brand, they have quality products you can trust.  Remember when I said the stroller is my lifeline to the outside world! I couldn't navigate life right now without it!
