2023 Seniors
I have had the opportunity to capture a milestone moment for a handful of families this fall - Senior Year!
Kye: Short North Art District (Columbus, Ohio)
My neighbor reached out to me about taking her son’s pictures and she warned me that he’s really not excited about doing so. I wanted to find an edgy and unique location that offered diverse backgrounds. As much as I know he didn’t want his picture taken, Kye emerged as a model! He did a wonderful job and made his mama happy!
Kennedy: German Village + The Ohio Theater (Columbus, Ohio)
Kennedy is also my neighbor! Kennedy has a light that shines from her! She was so easy to photograph and made every pause we took in German Village the perfect backdrop. I love that we were able to incorporate one of Kennedy’s loves in these photos as well - the theater! I can’t wait to watch her journey through life, she really has a special spirit.
Jack: Ryan Family Home (Powell, Ohio)
When I first met Jack he said, “I wasn’t all about getting my picture taken, but then I thought, I’m a Senior, this is all apart of the festivities, so why not!?!?” How right he is - just enjoy this year, it’s special and it flies by! I had the honor of taking Jack’s pictures at his home in Powell. We were able to include his car, lacrosse stick, and a familiar landscape that holds many memories for him and his siblings.
Macy: Inniswood Metro Gardens (Westerville, Ohio)
Macy is my niece! This was a special shoot not only because I have known and loved her since the day she was born, but because I wanted to capture pictures that truly embodied who she is - beautiful, confident, strong-willed, and spirited. Macy is always up for an adventure, so this was the perfect spot! We just walked, talked, laughed, and oh yes, paused from time to time to take a picture!
Morgan: Everal Barn and Homestead (Westerville, Ohio)
Morgan isn’t a 2023 graduate, but rather 2022. I wanted to include her because she was my first Senior. Her family took a chance on me following our Fall Photo Session in 2021. I was just dipping my toes in professional photography, the kind where you take pictures of others with the intention of providing them with a product (that they hopefully love). It was easy up until then to take pictures and gift people with various shots if I happen to capture them, but there wasn’t pressure to perform, now there is. I’m so thankful for Morgan and the Cummins’ family, they helped me stretch my scope of what I thought I was capable of accomplishing!
